Women’s DIY

DIY Women Tools of the TradeAs you know, I’m Jo Ellen Soesbee the ToolBox Tomgirl, and I’m on a mission: To put a hammer in the hand of every woman and teach how to use it.

Well, this is where that mission gets into action. And, if you’re here, there’s a pretty good chance that you’re a woman who gets a little excited at the thought of tackling home repair projects herself. You’re a ToolBox TomGirl in the making.

Or, maybe you know your way around a toolbox and you simply want new tips and, hopefully, to share your own experience.

Whichever is the case, I’m glad you are here. This is where I’ll give you the resources you need to Do-It-Yourself: interactive teleworkshops; webinars, video instructions; project how-to guides; general tips and more.

So, stay where you are. Maybe go out to your garage and grab a tool. It doesn’t matter which one. Just hold it. Look at it. Know that the two of you will be forming an intimate relationship in which it complies to your every whim.

And remember, taking care of your home repairs is only half the story – the rest is about taking care of yourself. Being as self-reliant around repairs as you are with everything else – and applying what you learn from DIY to your whole life.

Can a power drill really teach you something about yourself?

Well, we’re going to find out together.

I’ll be adding new content regularly, so check back often. Even better, subscribe to my eNewsletter and get my FREE Things Every Woman Must Know About DIY Home Repairs tip sheet, plus monthly articles that go deep into your lighting, plumbing, drywall – you get the picture.
